"SUBROOM"

installation

in collaboration with Kent Olofsson

on display during Room X

Gävle, Sweden

presented by Rikstatern

SANNA BLENNOW IS A CHOREOGRAPER, PERFORMER & EDUCATOR

WITH A MASTER OF FINE ARTS IN CRITICAL & PEDAGOGICAL STUDIES FROM MALMÖ ART ACADEMY
AND A BACHELOR IN CHOREOGRAPHY AND CONTEMPORARY DANCE FROM
THE DANISH NATIONAL SCHOOL OF PERFORMING ARTS IN COPENHAGEN,
SANNA IS ALWAYS CURIOUS TO CHALLENGE FORMATS AND
CROSS BREED ARTISTIC EXPRESSIONS

SANNA'S WORK HAS A SENSE OF BELONGING (IN-)BETWEEN BLACK BOX AND WHITE CUBE,

IN THAT VERY GREY ZONE, WHERE THE REALM OF EXPANDED CHOREOGRAPHY

SMILES WITH UGLY TEETH FOR EXPERIMENTAL APPROACHES

SANNA PREFERS TO WORK IN COLLABORATION,

NAVIGATING THROUGH INTUITION IN A SOUNDING SWAMP

TO CONNECT WITH A BEAK OF AMBITION AND WINGS OF DESIRE
